The problem

Four vendors per filing, and the deadline is yours.

The reporting calendar does not move. Most late filings are coordination failures between counsel, the reporting consultant, the EDGAR agent and the XBRL vendor, not questions of law.

How it works

From your books to EDGAR in five steps

Connect the books once. Every filing then follows the same five steps. The software drafts; your team and your securities counsel decide.

TakePublic Inc holds its own SEC EDGAR filing-agent credentials and transmits your filings directly, no third-party agent in the loop. You remain the filer of record.

Books integrations

Plugged into the books you already keep

Drafting starts from your existing ledger, with no migration required. Every connection below works today, by direct sync or trial balance import.

The AI, kept honest

The model writes the prose, never the numbers.

The financial statements come straight from your books. The AI reads those figures to write the narrative; it never invents a number. Four checks keep the prose honest before anyone signs.

Check 01 Every sentence cited A claim without a source stands out on review instead of hiding in the prose.
Check 02 Books checked first Entries that look misfiled, and swings that look odd, surface before drafting starts.
Check 03 Statements tie out Balance sheet, cash, and equity checks run on every draft. Anything that does not add up is flagged for review.
Check 04 A brief for counsel What changed and what to check, before sign-off. The judgment stays with your attorney.

Drafting runs in the open: each section moves from pending to drafted on screen, with the AI model named.

Custody and evidence

Your compliance record, kept to the standard a regulator applies.

Filed documents and the approvals behind them are the record an SEC examiner, your auditor or a plaintiff will ask for. TakePublic retains them to that standard.

Retention Retained for seven years Every filing, every earlier version and its approval evidence, retained for seven years as SOX Section 802 and Rule 17a-4 record-keeping expect.
Audit trail Tamper-evident Every edit, review and sign-off is recorded in order and cannot be rewritten, so the record answers an examiner's question without reconstruction.
Signatures Signed to the exact version Counsel's sign-off binds to the document as signed. Change one character and it no longer applies.
Access Draft filings handled as inside information Access is by role, attorneys and administrators sign in with a second step, and every access is logged.

An independent replica of every filed record is held with a second provider. Read the security page for each control and where SOC 2 preparation stands.

The calendar

A year as a public company

Three 10-Qs and a 10-K on statutory deadlines that do not move, plus two forms on their own clocks: Form 4 within two business days of an insider's trade, Form 8-K within four business days of a material event. TakePublic tracks every one against the SEC's calendar.

Trust

Built to hold up under audit

The controls are the product. Every one is designed to hold up to an SEC examiner, your auditor, and your own board.

Trust 01 Securities counsel on every filing Nothing is transmitted to EDGAR without your securities counsel's sign-off, bound to the exact document version.
Trust 02 A tamper-evident record Every action is recorded in order and cannot be rewritten or removed. The complete record exports with you if you leave.
Trust 03 Drafts handled as inside information Draft filings are material nonpublic information until filed. A written policy and need-to-know access govern who sees your books and insider data before they are public.
Trust 04 A platform, not a law firm Your attorney carries the legal judgment. We carry errors-and-omissions cover on the platform.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is TakePublic a law firm?

No. TakePublic is a technology platform and project manager: your own securities attorney reviews and signs every filing, and we handle the software, the workflow, and the filing mechanics.

Do you replace my auditor?

No. Your PCAOB audit stays with your audit firm. TakePublic handles drafting, the review workflow, EDGAR filing, and ongoing compliance.

Which filings do you handle?

TakePublic drafts and files the recurring SEC calendar: 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K with amendments, NT late notices, and Section 16 Forms 3, 4, and 5. Other obligations, like proxy statements and registration forms, are tracked on your Company calendar and reconciled from EDGAR when your counsel or agent files them.

How does AI drafting stay accurate?

The financial statements come from your books, never from the AI, and our AI providers are contractually barred from training on your data. The AI writes the narrative only, every sentence cites its source, the figures are checked against each other on every draft, and your securities attorney reviews before anything files.

What does it cost?

Monitor is $299 per month, Section 16 is $499 per month, and Core starts at $2,999 per month. Complex-filer tiers and the one-time Core onboarding fee are set by your public EDGAR history and shown before you pay.

Do you support NASDAQ or NYSE companies?

Yes. The federal filing calendar, AI drafting, counsel sign-off, and EDGAR filing are identical for exchange-listed companies. TakePublic does not monitor exchange listing standards.

Can we keep our own securities counsel?

Yes. Invite your attorney to the free counsel seat: they review and sign in the same workspace, with every sign-off bound to the exact document it approves. Monitor requires no attorney at all.

Do counsel or auditors pay for TakePublic?

No. Counsel and auditor firm seats are free; the company holds the only paid subscription.

Can we file through our own EDGAR agent?

Yes. After counsel signs, export the filing package and record the accession number when it files. The Company calendar reconciles against EDGAR either way.

What does the Company calendar show?

It brings public filings and insider activity, regulatory obligations, internal workflow, and company events into Month and Agenda views, with direct links to the workspace that owns each record.

Do you work with companies outside the United States?

No. TakePublic supports US companies on domestic Exchange Act forms. Foreign private issuers on 20-F and 6-K are not supported.

What happens to our filing records?

Filed records, every earlier version and the approvals behind them are retained for seven years, as SOX Section 802 and Rule 17a-4 record-keeping expect. Every change is recorded in order and cannot be rewritten, and an independent replica is held with a second provider. If you leave, you export everything and the record is retained either way.

How do I get started?

Run a free compliance scan, then open Get started. Your company profile and calendar build from public EDGAR history. TakePublic is onboarding companies in order; we email you the day your company can subscribe and file.

I am an auditor or securities attorney. Can I manage my clients here?

Yes. The free practice dashboard shows every client's deadlines, filings, and open requests in one place, and you can refer a client in minutes.
