EDGAR filing

After counsel signs off, the filing still has to reach EDGAR. TakePublic submits through EDGAR Next once company filer credentials are stored and verified in Settings, then polls status until the transmission is accepted.

Prefer your own EDGAR agent? Export the filing package after sign-off: submission XML with the CCC redacted, primary document, exhibits, and a manifest with the document hash. Daily EDGAR reconciliation confirms the filing either way.

01

Verify filer credentials

A company admin stores and verifies EDGAR filer credentials in Settings.

02

Confirm counsel sign-off

The attorney's sign-off must still match the current document hash.

03

Submit to the filing agent

A company admin, or a platform admin assisting, starts the EDGAR Next submission.

04

Poll through acceptance

TakePublic checks the transmission status until EDGAR accepts it.

Export to your own EDGAR agent

01

Clear the counsel gate

The external-agent path requires the same current, hash-matching sign-off as TakePublic submission.

02

Export the filing package

Download the package after counsel sign-off.

03

Record the external filing

After your agent files, mark the filing filed externally with its accession number.

Daily reconciliation

Whether TakePublic transmitted or your agent did, daily EDGAR reconciliation confirms the accession against what EDGAR shows, so the workspace status and the public record stay aligned.
