Verify your EDGAR credentials

Run a test submission check before your first real filing.

Settings: EDGAR credentials
The EDGAR filer credentials card with a verified timestamp in Eastern Time and a verify credentials button
After saving your CCC, run Verify credentials. The green verified line with its timestamp (ET) confirms EDGAR accepted a test authentication.

Why verify first

EDGAR Next runs in TEST mode by default until credentials are verified. A test submission confirms your CIK and CCC work before anything live goes out.

The verification flow

TakePublic queues a test transmission and polls until EDGAR accepts or returns an error you can fix.

  1. Open Settings and run the Credential verification check.

After verification

Once verification succeeds, live submit unlocks for signed-off filings. A company admin can then submit after counsel sign-off; platform admin can also submit when assisting.
