EDGAR filer codes

Where to enter CIK and CCC in Settings, and CCC format requirements.

EDGAR credentials live under Settings, Connections. TakePublic files on your company's own EDGAR account: your CIK plus the CCC you enter here.

CIK

Your Central Index Key (CIK) is set during onboarding from SEC records. Company admins can confirm it in Settings under EDGAR credentials.

CCC format

The CIK Confirmation Code (CCC) is eight characters with at least one digit and one special character. TakePublic stores it encrypted. Only company admins can view or update EDGAR credentials.

Where to enter them

Platform admin can also manage credentials when assisting your tenant.

  1. Open Settings > EDGAR credentials.
  2. Enter the CIK and CCC before your first live submission.

Insider filer codes are separate

Section 16 forms (3, 4, and 5) are filed under the reporting person's own EDGAR identity, never the company's. Each insider needs their own CIK and CCC, entered by editing the insider on the Insiders page. The company codes in Settings cover company filings like 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K only.
