Amend a filed report

Create a 10-K/A, 10-Q/A, 8-K/A, or Form 3/A, 4/A, or 5/A: optional link to the original, prefilled sections, and the counsel gate without a statutory deadline.

What you can amend

Create an amendment for a periodic or current report (10-K/A, 10-Q/A, 8-K/A) or a Section 16 ownership form (Forms 3/A, 4/A, 5/A).

  1. Open Filings and select the amendment form you need.
Note

Amendments pass the same counsel gate as every other filing: a licensed securities attorney must sign off on the exact document before anything submits to EDGAR.

Optionally link the amendment to the original filing already on the platform. When you do, TakePublic prefills the amendment sections from that filing and, for Section 16 amendments, copies the insider transactions.

The first section is an explanatory note describing what is amended. Ownership amendments transmit with EDGAR types 3/A, 4/A, or 5/A and carry the original submission date when the original is on the platform.

Deadlines and auditor review

Amendments have no statutory deadline. The due date on the filing records when you started the amendment; creating an amendment never creates or satisfies a calendar deadline.

Amendments do not require auditor review.

Note

If you are amending a restatement and want the auditor involved, you can still route the filing through auditor review by choice.

TakePublic is a technology platform, not a law firm, broker-dealer, or auditor. Nothing files without review and sign-off by a licensed securities attorney.
