TakePublic

Notifications and mentions

Who gets notified on each handoff, mentions, discussion threads, and reply-by-email.

Notifications
The notification bell open on the dashboard, listing filing status changes like signed off, filed, and accepted by EDGAR
The bell in the top bar collects status changes, mentions, and review handoffs. The same events also go out by email.

Handoff notifications

When a filing changes hands, the party whose turn it is gets a bell notification and an email: your auditor when a 10-K, 10-Q, 1-K, or 11-K reaches auditor review, your counsel when a filing is ready for review, and your team when counsel requests changes, signs off, or EDGAR accepts the filing.

Comments, mentions, and discussion

New comments notify everyone in the thread. Mention a teammate, your auditor, or your counsel on any comment and they always get an email. Each filing also has a general discussion tab for questions that do not belong to one section.

Reply by email

Outside professionals do not have to log in just to answer a question.

  1. Reply directly to a comment email to post the response into the thread under your name.

Privileged threads

Company team members and counsel can mark a thread as Privileged, making it visible to the company and counsel only. Your auditor and TakePublic staff cannot read privileged content, and members outside the audience cannot be mentioned into it. Counsel can also mark changes-requested feedback privileged.

Privileged threads are access-scoped, not off the record: the thread stays on the filing and its events remain in the audit trail.

Note

Whether a specific communication is protected by attorney-client privilege is a question for your counsel.

Email preferences

Settings lets each person choose which notification kinds email them. Two exceptions never turn off: deadline reminders for company roles, and mentions. The bell always shows everything regardless of email settings.

Stalled filing reminders

When a filing sits unchanged close to its due date, TakePublic nudges whoever it is waiting on, plus your company admins, so a quiet inbox never becomes a missed deadline.
