Peers
Compare your public filing record with companies you choose.
At a glance
The Peers list compares your public filing record with companies you choose. Every figure comes from public EDGAR snapshots only.
- Public filing score and grade, filing record (10-K and 10-Q reports judged on time, and NT late notices over three years), latest filing, next deadline in the snapshot, and when the snapshot was captured.
- Your company appears first, labeled Your company, so you can read the same columns against each peer. It does not count toward the peer limit and cannot be removed.
- Open a company name to see its public EDGAR report.
Missing values and score changes
A snapshot can lack a value. The list says so instead of showing a zero, and a recorded zero stays a zero.
- Not available means the snapshot has no value for that fact. No comparable record means no 10-K or 10-Q had a derivable due date, so there is no on-time rate.
- A score change compares the two most recent stored snapshots and names the prior snapshot's date. It is not a weekly measure and not a statement about current filing standing.
- Not synced yet means no snapshot has been captured for that row.
Adding a peer is private
Adding a peer grants no access to anyone and never notifies the peer company.
- Peer snapshots refresh daily from public filings.
- Deadlines shown are Eastern Time, labeled ET.
- Company admins and platform admins can refresh the list with Sync EDGAR. A partial refresh says how many companies were refreshed and keeps the prior snapshots for the rest.
Suggested peers and adjusting
When the list is empty and EDGAR lists an SIC code for your company, TakePublic suggests up to four public companies from that code, your public-float band first. Each suggested row says so under the name, for example Suggested from SIC 1381, similar size.
Company admins and company users keep or change them, or add their own by ticker or CIK, up to the peer limit shown beside the list. Other members can read and export the list.
- Keep accepts a suggestion; Change replaces it with the ticker or CIK you type.
- When EDGAR lists no SIC code for your company, the list says so and waits for you to add a peer.
- Export CSV downloads the whole list, your company first.
More detail
Suggestions match the same 4-digit industry first, then the 3-digit group, then the 2-digit major group, in your public-float band or the next one, read from EDGAR's filer categories.

TakePublic is a technology platform, not a law firm, broker-dealer, or auditor. Forms 3, 4 and 5 prepared in TakePublic file only after the reviewer the company designates, such as its securities counsel, signs off; any other filing prepared in TakePublic files only after a licensed securities attorney signs off.
